You are a constant inspiration. From friends like you, I've learned the art of healthy reflection, which has enabled me to learn from my mistakes, and then focus on building on the positive. Thanks for reading, sharing and being a positive influence in my world.

Carissa, what a great vision you have for this new year. It's wonderful to see the clarity you've gained after a year of diving into your own business. It's true that if you just get started, your experiences will show you what your next set of preferences are. For you: more content, more blogging, more flexibility... and did you ever think at this time last year that global reach would be on your list???

Thanks for sharing how your business and you are evolving. It's a wonderful example of how to really flesh out what we want to create for ourselves. You've actually done the assignment I've been giving my coaching clients -- and working on myself. Now I'm going to revise my own! (Yes, in spite of my rant in yesterday's blog post, I do have a vision afterall.)

Happy Happy New Year! I look forward to hearing more!

Too infrequently do we share our very core with others. We perfect our elevator pitch, polish up our social media dance shoes, and definitely craft an image that's ready for prime time. Your sharing here gives me pause...in a good way. And it makes me feel like I know more about you.

Letting others in is the next step beyond being a tweeting, foursquaring genius. Going deeper and sharing is hard in a lot of circumstances, but letting a little piece of you float freely among the masses sometimes is more enriching to the person letting that information out than you realize.

For me, I've got goals and I've got little pieces to share. While I won't bore you here unnecessarily, I'll give you a glimpse.

In 2010 I want to step beyond being the person providing a service to my clients and I want to morph into the solution. I want bigger things than a paycheck for solving a challenge. I want to be great professionally. So great, in fact, that my content will spread to the corners of the Earth...and maybe beyond.

My sharing. My dad is dying. Of cancer. Bit by bit, day by day. He could be dead by Spring or might last another year. He's my hero and losing him will change me irrevocably. While I might not be the same person after he's gone, I'll always be the person I am because of his influence and his love.

I WILL try to balance...or combine...my emotions and loss with my daily activities and the way in which I strive to be a fun and loving person to the important people in my life. Including you. Including social media folks. Including strangers.

That's how he lives. That's how I want to be.

Happy New Year!
